Tibetan Quail (Coturnix)
The Tibetan are fast flying, flush well and most of all they are aggressive in flight. Their color is a rich dark brown with stripes on the back and gray and white feathering in the head. The male and female are both colored alike but the female is a little larger than the male in size. These quail are highly immune to most diseases that other quail such as the Bobwhite get. They are hardy and disease free birds as all the Coturnix are. They hatch in 17 to 18 days and can be ready for training with or hunting as early as 8 to 10 weeks of age. Through careful management and selective breeding we developed this fine breed to be in demand as much as the Bobwhite or the Pharoah. We started them 35 years ago ourselves.
